P. 3

 We constantly hear
the terms core values,
mission statements, strategic
plans, and culture. But what are company core values? Why are they so important? And, what does it mean for our patients?
The What
Core values are what support the vision, shape
the culture and reflect what we value as an organization. They are the essence of our identity – the principles, beliefs or philosophy of values.
The Why
The core values were born out of the grinding principles that are most important to every team member at the CCC and more importantly our team’s personal values align with these. Because of this, our team understands one another, everyone does the right things for the right reasons, and this common purpose and understanding helps us to build great working relationships.
For the Patient
One of the most enduring topics in medicine is the concept of what constitutes value in health care.
With strong core values we give the patient the best
treatment experience possible. The employees of the Community
Cancer Center pledge to provide compassionate care with H.E.A.R.T using our
core values:
Honesty – I will be trustworthy and reliable, always practicing and encouraging open and honest communication.
Excellence – I will strive to perform my best, continually seeking professional development for improvement.
Accountability – I will perform responsibilities as expected, acknowledging shortcomings and using the experience as an opportunity for growth.
Respect – I will recognize the differences that exist in one another and acknowledge the value we each possess.
Teamwork – I will use my individual skills to collaborate toward a common goal and create a positive work environment.
