SOLE Survive-N-Thrive COMMUNITY WALKING GROUPS
Days, Times & Locations vary.
At the Community Cancer Center, we enjoy being involved in our community and helping our patients successfully into survivorship is a priority. We have developed a series of community outreach educational programs that encourage our patients, and the community members, to take charge of their health. All of our outreach programs are free and open to the public.
Each class, workshop, or event addresses a basic problem that may have a big impact on your quality of life. For example, in a stop smoking class you might learn your own trigger – thought – action – consequence pattern which will help in the goal to become smoke free. Or, in a Living Well Workshop you might learn to understand your body and know what your normal is, which basic health screenings you should be aware of, and identify problems that can plant the seeds of illness long before a chronic medical condition is diagnosed.
Our programming is both beneficial and cost-effective for you. For a relatively small investment of your time and commitment, our classes and workshops promise to help participants to improve their overall wellbeing and take charge of their health. It’s also important to note that rather than trap people in cycles of dependency, these programs are designed to empower participants, giving them the knowledge, resources and confidence so that they can go forward on their own steam and lead healthier, more productive lives.
If you are a cancer patient, a cancer survivor, someone who struggles with chronic pain or a chronic condition, or you want to stop smoking we have a spot in our class reserved for you.
